Chef's Note: You may substitute the sugar for a low calorie sweetener, however, it will alter the taste. Since this recipe creates 24 servings and there are only 75 calories per serving, we still consider it a low calorie dessert. Also, remember that at Hilton Head Health we consider certain foods within a healthy diet so long as they are consumed in moderation. This sorbet is perfect for cooling off on a warm day and is sure to be one the kids will enjoy!

WOW! I am very surprised that The Hilton Head Health would endorse this as a healthy recipe. It is certainly not the worst, BUT with a processed/fake ingredient like cool whip and then 75 calories for ONE FOURTH OF A CUP! Who eats one fourth of a cup of icecream?? Just my opinion:)
ReplyDeleteHi Stacy, at Hilton Head Health we do not think that dessert is something that should be eaten every day, but in moderation. With that said, we also believe that the few times you are going to eat a dessert it should taste good! As long as you are not overindulging, eating certain foods will not hinder you from reaching your weight loss goals. At H3, we serve dessert 2x/week and when we serve this dish in particular, it is in 1/4 cup servings.
